Matt joined the perfectly fit team in January of 2012. He comes to us after 15 years of service in the United States Army. After completing a tour in Afghanistan Matt attended and graduated from the National Personal Training Institute, an advanced program studying exercise science, nutrition, anatomy, physiology, and sports psychology.
As a soldier Matt has pushed the limits of physical fitness competing in such events as the Ft. Sill Iron Soldier competition, competed in competitive swimming tournaments held by the 8th Army in Korea, participated in the Manchu Mile, a 100 mile “road march”, solider of the month competitions, the run around Bagram Air field to name a few.
As a civilian Matt finds new ways to challenge himself competing in Adventure races such as the Tough Mudder, The Spartan Beast, road races such as the blessing of the fleet and swimming in the Save the bay event. Matt believes the fitness should be a priority in a person’s life and has a positive and unique way of relaying that message to his clients.
